An amphibian was found lurking among dark leafy greens in a prepackaged spinach container a Michigan woman purchased from the grocery store this week.
Amber Worrick from Southfield was completing a usual grocery run at Meijer, a family owned grocery store, when she decided to buy a package of Earthbound Farms Organic Spinach, FOX2Detroit reported.
Worrick didn’t notice anything unusual when she picked up the container.
"I didn't see anything didn't feel heavy, I didn't feel anything wiggling," Worrick told FOX2Detroit.
Her daughter ended up spotting the frog after she returned home with the groceries.
"My daughter was screaming, she was like 'Oh my God, it’s a frog,' and I was like, 'What?'" Worrick said.

Worrick returned to the grocery store with the spinach and received a full refund for her purchase.
"I didn't want him to die, but I didn't want him in my food," she said.
The frog, identified as a Pacific tree frog, was later released by store employees.
Taylor Farms, the spinach’s parent company, sent a statement apologizing, vowing to do everything to keep this from happening again, FOX2Detroit reported.
"On the package, it says three times washed, or something like triple washed. I don't believe that it was washed or else they would have caught a whole live frog,” Worrick said.
"Just thank God I didn't eat the frog."
